International Nurses Day 2026

This International Nurses Day we will be celebrating Roald Dahl Nurses who provide specialist support for over 50,000 children and young people across the UK living with complex, lifelong conditions.

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity exists to provide specialist nursing care for children with complex, lifelong conditions. We deliver this care through a growing network of highly trained Roald Dahl Nurses. Leaders in their field, Roald Dahl Nurses transform the lives of seriously ill children and the families who love and care for them. They bridge the gap between hospital and home, cut through medical jargon and coordinate care among multiple specialists. With a Roald Dahl Nurse by their side, families feel less overwhelmed and more in control. We believe every seriously ill child deserves a Roald Dahl Nurse. This International Nurses Day, we want to raise awareness of Roald Dahl Nurse and their vital impact. To mark the day, we will also be launching our new charity film ‘making sense of it all.
