Fundraising Commitment
On offer of a place, participants are required to pay their £100 registration fee. If you have secured a Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity charity place, you agree to raise a minimum of £2,500. If you have your own place (ballot/club), we ask that you raise as much as possible.
Fundraising Milestones
You are committing to raising £2,500 for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Charity. To help you stay on track, the following milestones apply to all charity place holders:
- £1,000 (40%) by January 15th, 2027
If this milestone is not hit then as explained your place could be forfeited. This is so we have enough time to recruit another participant.
- £2,000 (80%) by 1 March 2027
- £2,500 (100%) by race day- 24th April 2027
Any corporate sponsorship or match funding must be agreed in advance with the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity Challenge Events Team.
The charity reserves the right to review your place if reasonable progress is not being made against these milestones. Gift Aid will not be counted as part of the total raised.
If you anticipate fundraising to arrive post-race day please contact us now to share that information. We request all funds are paid within 4 weeks of the event date.
Whilst fundraising you will be an ambassador for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Please uphold the highest standards of the
Fundraising Code set by the Fundraising Regulator and if you have any questions please get in touch.
Payment of FundsAll funds raised in the name of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity must be paid directly to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity - this can of course be via your fundraising page which, for the majority, is the Double TCS London Marathons partners - Enthuse.
You are legally responsible for ensuring all offline sponsorship is submitted promptly. Please note you cannot subtract expenses from charitable donations unless this is communicated prior to donation.
WithdrawalIf you need to withdraw, you must notify Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity in writing as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.
