Learning Resources

Our Phizz-whizzing Workshops teach primary school age children about core values including bravery, empathy, resilience and kindness. The workshops highlight the charity’s work, the vital role its Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses play in supporting over 21,000 seriously ill children across the UK and why these values are important to foster better understanding of the challenges faced by children with lifelong illnesses.

Each workshop has accompanying downloadable worksheets and certificates for your class!

Kindness

Roald Dahl Nurses are super kind to everyone, but especially the seriously ill children then look after.

Bravery

Children who are seriously ill have to be brave. Being brave is all about feeling scared but carrying on anyway.

When you are ill you have to be resilient to keep going and stay strong. Being resilient is so important especially during a time of uncertainty like right now.
